You expand this base by collecting resources and troops, somewhat similar to mgs peace walker. Companions and vehicles add even more tactical depth to the infiltrations.Īnother addition is mother base. Overall, it's still a welcome addition to the franchise. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of other variety and approaches, but parts of it do feel stale. Sadly, a lot of the world consists of the same three types of outposts with 4 guards. The open world feels pretty great, allows for a variety of approaches and the new emphasis on scouting out locations is pretty fun and makes it feel even more tactical. For a steam verified game that relies on story, that's already a deal breaker on itself for me. Performance was good, except some initial cutscenes dropping down to 0 fps and freezing the game on the steam deck, forcing you to skip them. This is the first time I felt genuinely disappointed by an entry of the franchise, mainly the story and base system, killing the fun for me.

It's missing it's third chapter unless all Nuke owners dismantle theirs or others steal them and dismatle those.ĥ. It's an open-world game with two separate areas to explore and many Guard Posts you can capture.ġ6. You can kill you're staff, not telling you where though.ġ5. There's a set of Side-Ops that allow you to sit in a box and then you're target will walk up to you and salute you.ġ3. You can find many popular songs from the Era such as Take on Me, Fortunate Sons, and even the Main Menu theme for Metal Gear Peacewalker in the form of tapedecks/boomboxes.Ĩ.
